Oxford Contemporary Music (OCM) and Pegasus Theatre are seeking a Music Workshop Leader to deliver a music makers course for 11-15 year olds this Autumn at Pegasus Theatre.
The brief
The Music Makers course will work with up to 20 students on a weekly basis every Thursday starting from Thursday September 14th 2017 – Thursday 30th November 2017, session times will be 5pm-6:30pm.
To deliver the project we are looking for a practitioner who is inclusive in their delivery, which means they can plan and deliver sessions, which do not require students to have any previous musical experience and regardless of a students learning ability everyone can take part and enjoy the course. Sessions should be fun, engaging and interactive.
We want to recruit a practitioner who can take students through various realms of music making from song writing, music production and recording, to making music with traditional and non-traditional instruments.
The selected practitioner will be required to design an exciting and engaging 10 week music-making course from scratch with support from OCM and Pegasus Theatre. If this course is successful we will seek to continue to run the course in the spring and summer of 2018.
We would be keen to hear from practitioners from all disciplines and genres in music making and sound recording. We can provide computers (Macs), instruments and some sound recording equipment, which can be used for your sessions, however you are more than welcome to bring your own.

The fee for this work will be £45 per session, 10 sessions for delivery plus 1 session for feedback and 1 session for end of term sharing event. There is an additional flat rate fee of £60 included for planning. The total fee for services is £600.
