This concert showcases an exciting new collaboration between pianist Frank Harrison and vocalist Brigitte Beraha. Together their music is melodic, romantic and understated, sometimes playful and sometimes dark but always striving for beauty.

Harrison is one of the leading jazz pianists of his generation, known for his “lucid, intelligent, spacious and beautifully controlled explorations” (Jazzwise). He is pianist with Gilad Atzmon’s Orient House Ensemble as well as his own Trio. Beraha is recognised as one of the most versatile and exciting vocalists on the UK jazz scene, with “Norma Winstone-like subtlety and precision” (The Guardian)

Frank and Brigitte bring their new collaboration to Oxford as part of a UK tour promoting their new album ‘The Way Home’, described by Norma Winstone as "a truly beautiful recording”.

The concert and tour will also feature new songs written in memory of Oxford based poet David Attwooll, inspired by his work, and commissioned by Oxford Contemporary Music.
