The long-term Director, Jo Ross, has decided to transition to a new part-time internal position as Associate Director retaining her expertise and skills within the organisation. 

This has made way for a new person to come into the organisation and take on the leadership of OCM as Director and CEO. The position will have overall responsibility for the organisation, and is supported by the expert senior management team of Associate Director and Deputy Director with the rest of the team and Board.

Director

Permanent Contract

Part-time, 3 days a week 

Salary: starting salary £38- £40k pro-rata depending on experience

Starting: After the 31st October 2025 and/or within notice period.

Interviews: 1st round Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd October, 2nd round Wednesday 8th or Thursday 9th October.

Oxford Contemporary Music is one of the UK’s foremost new music organisations, working across many genres and disciplines. We produce innovative live music and cross art-form events, outdoor and site-specific work, run talent development initiatives, and engage with communities and young people to create music making experiences.

We are seeking a Director to take on the leadership of OCM with overall responsibility for the organisation, working alongside the Associate Director and supported by the Deputy Director, the rest of the team and Board of Trustees. The role requires vision, knowledge of the sector, leadership and strategic development, staff management, a proven track record in fundraising, and experience across finance, commissioning, producing, and marketing. You will have a passion for new music and sound based events, a network of relevant industry contacts locally, nationally and internationally.
