Oxford's annual festival of new experimental music and sound art returns

audiograft returns with its annual mix of new experimental music and sound, exhibitions, artists talks and workshops. This year’s festival promises to open your ears and eyes to extraordinary and surprising sounds and events, with voices emerging as if from nowhere, rotating sounds, kinetic sculpture for used computer cases, intimate physical theatre, and consumer electronics pushed to their limits. At the heart of the festival is a group exhibition at OVADA featuring Stephen CornfordYann Leguay & Gaetan Rusquet and Harriet Butler. The festival also features The International Nothing, described as Berlin’s finest in Clarinet entertainment. More info…

The festival runs from 7th-19th March 2017 in venues across Oxford.

PWYD (Pay What You Decide)

audiograft returns to the beautiful space of the Holywell Music Room for Thursday night of the festival featuring amplified ensemble [rout] in a realisation of Paul Whitty’s field recording project somewhere a field; Berlin-based clarinet duo The International Nothing; and Sound Artist Shirley Pegna who will be exploring radio waves emanating from pulsars.

PWYD (Pay What You Decide)

audiograft returns to the intimate black box of Arts at the Old Fire Station for Friday night of the festival featuring live electroacoustics from Eldad Tsabary and the SARU Laptop Orchestra; and improvised performance from Sound Artist Ben Gwilliam. Plus Neil C. Smith will be manipulating music through live coding using his own software called PRAXIS live.

audiograft is a PWYD (Pay What You Decide) festival. PWYD works by enabling audiences to attend shows without paying for a ticket beforehand, but tickets can be reserved prior to a performance.
