Melodic, with an inventive twist, from dynamic drum patterns, to slow and impressionistic passages, time is a key theme throughout their music. Led by Norwegian composer / percussionist Thomas Strønen, this all-acoustic Anglo-Norwegian group perform music from their self-titled ECM debut release. Thomas is joined by British pianist Kit Downes, improv/classical cellist Lucy Railton, bassist Ole Morten Vågan, and violinist Håkon Aase.
This project was originally commissioned as part of the conexions series by BBC Radio 3 Late Junction presenter Fiona Talkington with Nasjonal Jazzscene in Oslo, a two year series bringing together British and Norwegian musicians.
